THE FULL STORY
Skylar Lee knew from a young age she was meant to perform. Growing up in Allentown, PA, music was a constant source of comfort, whether that was playing piano, taking the stage in her local theatre, or just listening to her mom’s old 70's and 80's mixtape in the car. Eventually, she would find herself diving head-first into all-things music, utilizing her perfect-pitch ear and music theory background to begin telling her own stories through song.
Although a pop singer, Skylar’s personal writing is a result of moving to Nashville and learning the art of crafting songs from the greats. From the arrangement to the production, lyricism, and visuals, Lee intentionally dips her hand into all aspects of her music.
Skylar has been featured by supporters such as Rolling Stone, YoCo Nashville on 96.7FM, and American Songwriter Magazine. As well as having a well-versed discography of cuts for other artists and singles for herself, her song “Don’t Want a Body” has gained online traction with over 3 million views. She continues to build her community through social media, with growing support of her latest single “Heavy Hitter.”
Through her artistry, Skylar embodies a boldness to embrace individuality as a strength. She hopes to remind her audience of the power that comes from channeling the things that make them unique. In a world where self-expression can be overwhelming, she wishes for listeners to feel seen for both who they are now and who they aspire to be.
